    What a fantastic book! If I had one word to describe the book, it would be ‘disillusioning’. I have never found a book with such insight into the [bitter] final years of The Beatles, and all of the tension that followed for decades. The standard story that everyone knows is that John met Yoko, George was unhappy after being held down for years, Paul wanted to rejuvenate the band, and Ringo was just…Ringo. But there is so much more to the story, as described in this book. And it goes beyond the breakup in 1970. All the financial and legal wranglings that went on are, in the end, just sad really. Revelations of the boys being screwed out of money, suing each other and the records companies for years, and that many of the Beatle projects that one would think would be to please the fans, were just to make money because the boys were so broke from all the suing. It’s really sad. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and how it casts light and an often glazed-over portion of the Beatles story.
